Scout Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July, 2026 Last Updated: July, 2026
Scout is a trade name of Dayli Inc. In this Privacy Policy, “Scout,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Dayli Inc.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you access or use Scout’s websites, applications, creator network, campaign-matching services, emails, and related services collectively, the “Service.”
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Service and incorporate this Privacy Policy by reference.
1. Information We Collect
A. Account and Authentication Information
When you apply for or create a Scout creator account, we may collect:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- Account identifiers;
- Authentication information; and
- Other information needed to establish, secure, or administer your account.
Scout currently allows users to authenticate using Google OAuth. When you use Google to sign in, Google may provide us with information authorized through the sign-in process, such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.
We do not receive your Google password. We use information obtained through Google OAuth only to authenticate you, administer your Scout account, provide the Service, and protect account security.
B. Creator Application and Profile Information
When you apply to or participate in Scout’s creator network, we may collect information such as:
- Your name and contact information;
- Your Instagram, TikTok, or other social-media handles;
- Links to your public social-media profiles;
- Profile photographs or other images;
- Examples of your public content;
- Your content categories, niches, interests, or specialties;
- Your location;
- Your gender identity, when you choose to provide it;
- Your campaign and content preferences;
- Your availability;
- Information you submit in an application, questionnaire, or profile; and
- Information concerning your participation in or interest in campaigns.
Providing demographic information is voluntary unless we clearly indicate otherwise. We do not infer sensitive demographic characteristics that you have not provided.
C. Public Social-Media Information
We may review or collect information that you make publicly available through social-media platforms, including:
- Public profile information;
- Social-media handles;
- Profile photographs;
- Public posts and short-form video content;
- Publicly displayed follower counts;
- Publicly displayed engagement information; and
- Other information available on your public profile.
We may use this information to evaluate creator applications, maintain the quality and relevance of Scout’s curated creator network, and identify creators who may be suitable for brand partnerships.
Follower counts and engagement metrics are not used to restrict which campaigns a creator may see or apply to.
Unless Scout separately asks for and receives your authorization, connecting or identifying a social-media account does not give Scout access to private messages, unpublished content, or your social-media password.
D. Demographic and Matching Information
Creators may choose to provide information such as gender identity and location. We use this information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including to help identify campaigns for which a creator may be an authentic content fit.
Campaign matching and visibility may be informed by:
- Gender identity;
- Location;
- Content niche; and
- The creator’s stated preferences.
Scout does not use ethnicity, age, follower count, or engagement metrics to restrict campaign visibility.
Brands may request gender or location fit only when it relates to a genuine need for authentic representation in the campaign content and is consistent with applicable law.
E. Campaign and Participation Information
We may collect information related to campaigns presented to you or involving you, such as:
- Campaigns matched to your profile;
- Campaign notices sent to you;
- Your stated interest in a campaign;
- Applications or responses you submit;
- Whether you were selected or confirmed;
- Brand and campaign requirements communicated to you;
- Handoff or onboarding status; and
- Administrative communications relating to a campaign.
Scout facilitates creator sourcing, vetting, matching, confirmation, and handoff. Scout does not process payments between brands and creators or manage their relationship after the handoff unless separately agreed in writing.
F. Brand and Business-Contact Information
Brands do not currently create self-service Scout accounts or browse Scout’s creator network directly.
When a brand or its representative communicates or enters into a service agreement with Scout, we may collect:
- The company’s name;
- The representative’s name, title, and contact information;
- Billing and business address information;
- Campaign requirements and preferences;
- Contractual and invoicing information; and
- Communications between the brand and Scout.
G. Billing and Transaction Information
Brand engagements are governed by signed service agreements. Scout may collect invoicing, payment-status, and transaction records needed to administer those agreements.
Payments are currently made directly to Dayli Inc. Scout does not currently route billing through an integrated third-party payment processor and does not store full credit-card numbers, card verification codes, or similar complete payment credentials through the Scout platform.
Banks, financial institutions, or other payment services used independently by a client may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
H. Communications
We collect information when you communicate with us, including when you:
- Contact Scout by email;
- Submit a question, complaint, or support request;
- Report discrimination, abuse, fraud, or a Terms violation;
- Respond to a campaign notice; or
- Communicate with our team concerning your account or a campaign.
This may include the content of your communication, attachments, contact information, and related metadata.
Scout does not currently offer an in-platform direct-messaging feature between brands and creators.
I. Email Information
We may collect information relating to emails we send, including:
- Delivery status;
- Whether an email was returned as undeliverable;
- Unsubscribe requests;
- Campaign-notification preferences; and
- Engagement information, such as whether an email was opened or a link was selected, if supported by our email-service provider.
J. Device, Usage, and Technical Information
When you access the Service, we or our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Browser type;
- Device type and operating system;
- Access dates and times;
- Pages or features viewed;
- Referring and exit pages;
- Error and diagnostic information;
- Security and authentication events; and
- General interaction information.
We may collect this information through server logs, cookies, local storage, and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- Review creator applications;
- Create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
- Maintain Scout’s curated creator network;
- Review public creator content and profile suitability;
- Identify campaigns that may fit a creator’s profile and preferences;
- Source, vet, match, and confirm creators for brand campaigns;
- Prepare campaign briefs and related communications;
- Share confirmed creator information with the relevant brand;
- Send campaign digest emails and account-related notices;
- Facilitate creator handoff and onboarding;
- Communicate with creators, brands, and business contacts;
- Administer service agreements, invoices, and business records;
- Respond to questions, complaints, and support requests;
- Investigate suspected fraud, discrimination, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
- Protect the security and integrity of Scout and its users;
- Monitor, troubleshoot, improve, and develop the Service;
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations;
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
- Enforce our agreements and policies.
We may also use information in an aggregated or de-identified form that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.
3. Campaign Emails and Communications
A. Account and Service Communications
We may send emails necessary to operate your account or provide the Service, including:
- Account verification and authentication messages;
- Security notices;
- Administrative notices;
- Responses to support requests;
- Campaign-specific communications after you express interest or are confirmed; and
- Notices concerning our Terms or Privacy Policy.
Because these communications may be necessary to provide the Service, you may not be able to opt out of all administrative or transactional emails while maintaining an active account.
B. Campaign Digest Emails
When campaigns match your profile, Scout may send you campaign digest emails or similar opportunity notifications.
You may unsubscribe from campaign digest emails at any time by:
- Using the unsubscribe link contained in the email;
- Changing your account preferences, where available; or
- Contacting us at founders@scoutnow.me.
Unsubscribing from campaign digest emails will not necessarily stop essential administrative, security, or account communications.
C. SMS Notifications
Scout does not currently send routine SMS campaign notifications.
If Scout introduces SMS notifications in the future, we will provide any disclosures and obtain any consent required by applicable law before sending such messages. Participation will be optional unless otherwise expressly disclosed and legally permitted.
We may update this Privacy Policy before or when an SMS feature becomes available to explain:
- What types of messages will be sent;
- Which service provider will deliver them;
- Expected message frequency;
- How telephone numbers will be used and shared;
- How to opt in;
- How to opt out; and
- Whether message and data rates may apply.
4. How Campaign Matching Works
Scout uses creator-provided profile information and campaign requirements to identify potentially relevant opportunities.
Campaign visibility may be determined using:
- Gender identity;
- Location, including city, region, or country;
- Content niche; and
- Creator preferences.
These factors are used to identify content fit and support authentic representation.
Scout does not use the following information to filter or restrict which campaigns a creator may see:
- Ethnicity;
- Age;
- Follower count; or
- Engagement metrics.
Scout does not prevent a creator from applying to a campaign that has been made visible to that creator.
Scout personnel may exercise judgment when sourcing, vetting, and confirming creators. Matching is therefore not necessarily a fully automated process. Scout does not use matching to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning creators.
5. How We Disclose Information
A. Disclosure to Brands
Scout employees and authorized personnel may access creator profiles for application review, vetting, matching, and administration.
Brands do not receive general browsing access to Scout’s creator network.
We may disclose a creator’s profile and contact information to a brand only when Scout has matched and confirmed that creator for that brand’s specific campaign. Information disclosed may include:
- Name;
- Contact information;
- Social-media handles;
- Public profile information;
- Profile photographs;
- Relevant public content;
- Content niche;
- Location;
- Gender identity, when voluntarily provided and relevant to the confirmed match; and
- Other information reasonably necessary for the campaign handoff.
A brand may use information received from Scout only for the relevant campaign, creator evaluation, onboarding, and associated business purposes, subject to its agreements and applicable law.
After a handoff, the brand’s independent collection or processing of personal information may also be governed by the brand’s own privacy practices. Scout is not responsible for a brand’s independent privacy practices after information is lawfully transferred to it.
B. Service Providers
We may disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as:
- Cloud hosting and data-storage providers;
- Authentication providers, including Google;
- Email-delivery providers;
- Website-hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Security and fraud-prevention providers;
- Analytics and performance providers;
- Professional advisers; and
- Other technical or operational vendors.
These parties may process information only as needed to provide services to Scout, subject to their contractual obligations and applicable law.
C. Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process;
- Respond to lawful requests from governmental authorities;
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Scout, our users, or others;
- Investigate fraud, discrimination, abuse, security incidents, or Terms violations;
- Enforce our agreements; or
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
D. Corporate Transactions
If Dayli Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
E. With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so or give us permission.
F. No Sale of Personal Information
Scout does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
Scout also does not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under applicable California law.
6. Profile Visibility
Creator profiles do not have public Scout profile links, and creators cannot view one another’s Scout profiles.
Scout team members may access creator information for application review, vetting, matching, campaign administration, security, support, and policy enforcement.
A brand may receive a creator’s profile and contact information only after Scout matches and confirms that creator for that brand’s specific campaign.
We display demographic information only when it has been voluntarily provided. We do not infer or assume demographic attributes.
7. Equal Opportunity and Non-Discrimination
Scout is committed to equal access and opportunity regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
Demographic information will not be used to:
- Deny access to Scout or its general features;
- Determine whether a creator may maintain an account solely because of a protected characteristic;
- Determine or influence a creator’s compensation;
- Unlawfully discriminate against a creator; or
- Restrict campaign visibility for reasons unrelated to authentic content representation.
Brands may not use information received from Scout to unlawfully discriminate against creators.
If you believe you have experienced discrimination involving Scout, contact us at founders@scoutnow.me.
8. Google OAuth and Google User Data
Scout uses Google OAuth to allow users to authenticate their accounts.
When you choose Google sign-in, Scout may receive basic account information authorized by you, such as:
- Your Google account identifier;
- Your name;
- Your email address; and
- Your Google profile image.
Scout uses this information to:
- Authenticate your identity;
- Create or connect your Scout account;
- Maintain account security;
- Display basic account information; and
- Communicate with you regarding the Service.
Scout does not use Google OAuth to access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar information, or other Google services unless we separately request that access and you expressly authorize it.
Scout’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable limited-use requirements.
You can revoke Scout’s access through your Google account settings. Revoking access may prevent you from signing in with Google, but it does not automatically delete information already held by Scout. You may request deletion as described below.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Scout may use essential cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- Keep users signed in;
- Complete authentication;
- Maintain account security;
- Remember settings;
- Prevent fraud or misuse;
- Diagnose technical problems; and
- Provide core platform functionality.
We and our service providers may also use limited analytics or performance technologies to understand general usage and improve the Service.
Scout does not currently use third-party advertising cookies to serve targeted advertisements based on activity across unrelated websites or services.
Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of Scout from functioning correctly.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Maintain an active account;
- Provide the Service;
- Complete creator matching and campaign handoffs;
- Administer active service agreements;
- Maintain business and transaction records;
- Resolve disputes;
- Enforce agreements;
- Protect against fraud or abuse; and
- Satisfy legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
After Account Deletion
After receiving and verifying an account-deletion request, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, unless continued retention is:
- Required by law;
- Necessary to complete an existing contractual obligation;
- Necessary to resolve a dispute;
- Necessary to prevent fraud or protect platform security;
- Required to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
- Otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Information already provided to a brand as part of a confirmed campaign handoff may remain in the brand’s records and may be subject to the brand’s own retention practices.
We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of personal information;
- Request a portable copy of certain information;
- Object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Opt out of certain communications; and
- Appeal or complain about our response to a privacy request where applicable.
Creators may update certain profile information through their Scout account, where that functionality is available.
You may update or remove voluntarily provided demographic information at any time through your account settings, where available, or by contacting us.
To submit a privacy request, email founders@scoutnow.me. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use information provided for verification only to process and document the request.
Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require evidence of the agent’s authority and may need to verify the user’s identity directly.
