We're three international students from Duke and Johns Hopkins who previously built a social app called Dayli. Through our own content and UGC, we generated over 15m+ views across platforms.

But as both creators and founders ourselves, we quickly realized how broken the UGC hiring process was.

As creators, we know the stress of working with untrusted brands and arbitrary pay. As founders, we know signing the right creators is massively time-consuming.

But the worst part? Negotiations. Because there's no real trust on either side.

So we built Scout. Not an agency. Not a marketplace. The trust layer for both the best creators on the market who demand clarity and the top companies seeking explosive, RELIABLE growth.

What does Scout actually do?
Scout sources and vets UGC creators for brand campaigns, runs the outreach, negotiates the rate, and introduces confirmed creators directly to the brand. After the introduction, we guide each enrolled creator through the campaign's onboarding and activation steps, send the reminders, can set up a group chat between the brand and its creators, and track how the campaign's posts perform. We don't produce or review campaign content, and payments go directly from the brand to the creator.
How much does Scout cost?
Scout is sold as plans: a plan is taken per campaign and sized by the number of UGC creators you sign, only the creators you actually sign count against it, and a new account starts with a free trial. Plans run monthly or for a longer term, billed in advance, and you can cancel in the billing portal with effect from the end of your billing period. You see the plan pricing for your campaign when you sign in and set it up, and creator pay is separate — that goes directly from you to the creator. Fees are non-refundable, and a canceled plan stays active until the end of its billing period.
Do you pay the creators for us?
No. Scout does not process or facilitate payments between brands and creators — those arrangements happen directly between you and the creator, outside of Scout.
Can we browse your creator database ourselves?
No, and that's deliberate. There is no browsable creator database, and creator profiles are never publicly searchable. You see a creator's details only for your own campaign, and only once that creator has applied to it or been confirmed for it.
Is Scout free for creators?
Yes. There are no fees and no commission taken from your rate — you keep 100% of the rate we negotiate on your behalf.
Do I need a big following?
No. Follower counts and engagement metrics are not used to restrict which campaigns you can see or apply to. We look at your content, your niche, and your fit for the brief.
