Straight answers, no fine print
Everything brands and creators ask us before they start. If the answer you need isn't here, email founders@scoutnow.me and a person will reply.
How Scout works
What we do, what we don't, and where we sit in your campaign.
What does Scout actually do?
Scout sources and vets UGC creators for brand campaigns, runs the outreach, negotiates the rate, and introduces confirmed creators directly to the brand. Our role ends at the introduction: we don't produce or review campaign content, manage the creator relationship afterwards, or monitor campaign performance.
Is Scout an agency, a marketplace, or software?
Closest to a hands-on sourcing partner. Experienced UGC growth leads source creators the way an in-house team would, using our own tooling. There is no public marketplace to browse and no self-serve software to log into — the shortlist is assembled for you.
Which platforms do your creators post on?
TikTok and Instagram. Every creator in the network maintains a public TikTok and/or Instagram profile with existing short-form content, and is approved through our application or referral process.
How do I get started?
Tell us what you're hiring for through the onboarding form. Scout is currently in private beta, and brands work with us through a signed service agreement with Dayli Inc. rather than a self-serve signup.
For brands & agencies
Pricing, control, and what lands on your desk.
How much does Scout cost?
There is no platform subscription and nothing to pay upfront to use Scout. You pay a small flat fee only for the UGC creators you actually sign. The specific pricing, payment terms, and committed services for your engagement are set out in a signed service agreement, and invoices are issued directly by Dayli Inc.
Do you pay the creators for us?
No. Scout does not process or facilitate payments between brands and creators — those arrangements happen directly between you and the creator, outside of Scout.
Can we browse your creator database ourselves?
No, and that's deliberate. Creator profiles are visible only to Scout's internal team and are never publicly searchable. You receive a creator's profile and contact information once that creator has been confirmed for your specific campaign.
Do we keep creative control?
Yes. You define the brief — deliverables, compensation, timelines, and eligibility criteria — and you choose which creators to sign. Scout prepares and publishes the brief creators see, and brings you people who match it.
How long does it take to get a shortlist?
It depends on the brief. A broad lifestyle brief moves faster than one that needs a specific niche, market, and content style. We scope realistic timing with you when we agree the brief rather than quoting a blanket turnaround.
What if a creator doesn't work out?
Scout vets every creator before you see them, but we don't guarantee campaign results, and brands remain responsible for the accuracy of the campaign information they provide. How replacements are handled is covered in your service agreement — raise it with us before you sign so it's written down.
Can we ask for creators of a specific gender or location?
Location, yes. Gender only where it genuinely relates to authentic representation in the campaign content and is consistent with applicable law. Scout does not use ethnicity, age, follower count, or engagement metrics to decide which campaigns a creator can see.
For creators
Joining the Creators Club, getting matched, and getting paid.
Is Scout free for creators?
Yes. There are no fees and no commission taken from your rate — you keep 100% of the rate we negotiate on your behalf.
Who can join the Creators Club?
You need to be at least 18, maintain a public TikTok and/or Instagram profile with existing short-form content, and be approved through our application or referral process. Scout doesn't offer open registration — every application is reviewed individually.
Do I need a big following?
No. Follower counts and engagement metrics are not used to restrict which campaigns you can see or apply to. We look at your content, your niche, and your fit for the brief.
Who can see my profile?
Only Scout's internal team. Your profile is never publicly searchable and isn't visible to other creators. A brand sees your profile and contact information only after you've been confirmed for their specific campaign.
How and when do I get paid?
Directly by the brand, on the terms agreed for that campaign. Scout negotiates the rate and makes the introduction, but does not sit in the middle of the payment.
Will you email me constantly?
No. We email you when a campaign matches your profile, plus the administrative messages tied to a campaign you're part of. You can unsubscribe from campaign notifications at any time through your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any message.
How do I delete my account?
Email founders@scoutnow.me and we'll permanently delete it. If you only want the emails to stop, you don't need to close your account — the unsubscribe link in any campaign notification does that on its own.
Pricing and payment terms are set out in your signed service agreement, and the binding version of everything above is in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Where a signed service agreement differs, that agreement controls.
